Come Join Us…
You are invited to join this active organization in our appreciation of birds. We offer frequent bird watching field trips and meetings, monthly members meetings and an array of bird related resources, plus local bird news articles. We welcome everyone who has an interest in our feathered friends, from the casual back yard birders and kids, to life-long birding veterans. Most all RAS sponsored events are open to both members and non-members and are usually free; visitors are always welcome and encouraged to participate. A Richmond Audubon Society chapter membership includes benefits like: automatic membership in the National Audubon Society, a subscription to "Audubon" magazine a bimonthly national publication, our local "Thrasher" newsletter (now available online), chapter meetings, pre-meeting fellowship dinner and activities, volunteer opportunities available through an array of active RAS committees, Important Bird Areas (IBAs) support, youth outreach, fund raising, annual picnic, annual pot luck dinner and auction, plus access to RAS website, sign up for free email connection the RAS Listserv. The current issue of Richmond Audubon Society's newsletter "The Thrasher" is now available online, plus archives of back issues. Use the search page to find the information you are looking for quickly. Visit the all new RAS Kids Corner and Members Area, then see "For The Birds" for a wide array of birding tools from housing and feeder maintenance to photography tips.
