Pot Luck Dinner, Silent Auction and Program
We need your support. This is our primary fundraiser. Join us for good food, a lot of fellowship, door prizes and the fun of bidding on great silent auction items and trips. Proceeds support all RAS functions from education to conservation. Mark your calender now and plan on joining us this fall on the third Thursday in November.
When and Where?
When: 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: St. Luke Lutheran Church at Custis Rd. and Chippenham Parkway.

Admission: FREE
Receive a bidder number and a chance to win door prizes, you must be present to win door prizes.
Potluck Dinner
A smorgishboard of tasty delights and a big side-order of RAS fellowship. There is no better combo in town! Bring your favorite covered dish or desert.

Program
RAS Members are the program. Find a couple of your favorite photos from 2010 and come share your best bird story of the year! Submit your photos by email attachment now to: potluckphotos@richmondaudubon.org
Raffle Tickets
Available at $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00. You do not need to be present to win the raffle.
The Evening's Events
6:00 PM - Doors will open, socializing and silent auction begins
6:30 PM - Pot Luck Dinner
7:30 PM - The silent auction ends & the raffle drawing will be held
7:30 PM - Program: Photos and Stories from RAS members - favorite memories and stories from the past year
8:30 PM - Raffle winner announced, auction checkout and cleanup.
Door Prizes - Throughout the night.

Things you can do to help.
1. Make a donation. Deadline is November 1st.
2. Help obtain other donations. Think what will delight and inspire spirited bidding! 3. Help sell raffle tickets or buy raffle tickets. 4. Volunteer to bring food, help Set-up and cleanup. 5. Attend, bring a friend or two and buy lots of great gifts for yourself to help support Richmond Audubon.
Use Of Auction Funds
All funds will be used for local projects
• RAS Kids – Introducing children in under-served Richmond communities to nature and educating them through nature study and field trip.
• Community Education
• RAS’ on-going habitat conservation projects at local preserves:
— James River Park System in Richmond
— Presquile National Wildlife Refuge–RAS has adopted the Lower James River Important Bird Area (SEE: IBA) that includes Presquile NWR.
Citizen Science projects include:
— Coordinating the Hopewell Christmas Bird Count since 1957
— Sponsoring two Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (SEE: MAPS) programs at the Powhatan WMA and the Dutch Gap Conservation Area
— Supporting nesting studies for Prothonotary Warblers and winter monitoring for Northern Saw-whet Owls.Our Mission.
RAS Auction Planning Committee
We welcome volunteers to the planning committee. Committee members are needed for marketing, publicity, publications, donations, auction, sponsorships, volunteer coordination, and much more. If you are interested and have a little time and/or skills to help, please let us know. Consider joining in on the planning and execution for our this major fundraiser. Share your talents and ideas.
